Dr Chris Ward

Dr Chris Ward MBBS, FRACP, MD


Chris is a General Paediatrician who trained at the Royal Children’s Hospital before working in Queensland and Canada. Chris has a wide range of experience in all aspects of paediatrics, including neonatal care, hospital and emergency paediatrics and public and private clinical practice.
Chris has also trained at the Centre for Community Child Health at RCH and has an interest in ADHD, infant and child sleep disorders, child and adolescent mental health and behaviour problems. He also has a keen interest in medical student training, evidence-based medicine and health care quality and safety. Chris strongly believes in a practical and collaborative approach when working with children and families, emphasizing the importance of communication within families, and with health care professionals, schools and the wider community.
Chris brings a unique clinical perspective from his time practicing in large city hospitals, regional centres and small town rural paediatrics both in Australia and overseas.Chris is father-of-three with experience across many areas of paediatrics and a commitment to child-centred practice.
